Connection Points

ConnectionHere are some points of connection to the world around you.

1. Cheating is a Fantastic Feeling–“That guilty twinge you feel when you cheat on something? Probably never happened. Because you love cheating. Cheating feels great.” At least that is what these studies are showing.

2. The Sheer Weightlessness of Preaching–Dr. Mohler is on the top of his game when he writes about expository preaching. This article proves it yet again.

3. The Best Way to Start Your Day–Jonathan Parnell at DG has some suggestions about how to get your day going in the right direction.

4. George Ladd and Postmillenialism–Dr. Jim Hamilton and Prof. Joe Rigney, the former from SBTS and the latter from Bethlehem College and Seminary, sparred a bit on Twitter over eschatology. I think Hamilton makes more sense, and this post is helpful.

5. A Friend of Sinners and No Friend of Sin–As usual, Kevin DeYoung strikes a good balance.

6. Does God Desire All to Be Saved?–I have mentioned this book before, but wanted to link to it yet again. It is heavy lifting, but lifting that is worth the effort.

7. Association of Certified Biblical Counselors–This used to be NANC, but has recently changed their name. Heath Lambert, professor at SBTS, is the recently appointed national director and brings youthful energy and fresh vision to the organization.
